My italkie account

Hey, guys, if you want to learn together you can always visit my italkie account. I am trying to be active there. It is a great destination if you want to learn Chinese for free!

And don’t forget about the Facebook page. If you tend to forget about things it will always remind you to visit me for new Chinese sheets and resources 🙂

Chinese to go – let’s finish lesson 10!

After a short and unplanned holiday I’m back on my Chinese track. Right now I’m staying in Krakow, taking care of two beautiful and crazy cats. The place is wonderful, the cat’s drive ME crazy and I don’t have a printer. But I hope to find some printing shop tomorrow.

So now you can be ahead of me with practicing lesson 10.5 and reviewing all the vocabulary with the review sheets 🙂

Oh, and I found a great site: the list of the most common Chinese characters in order of frequency. If you’re not sure whether it’s worth learning a word, this is the place to go (and check!).

Today I signed up at italki. It’s a great thing! People who learn languages can meet there – ask and answer questions, publish their texts in foreign languages and get them corrected by native speakers. There is “following” “messaging” and a chat (beta version). Everything is quite easy to grasp and there are hundreds of users so you get answers and corrections immediately. It’s great!

Chinese to go – NPCR 1.10.2

Sorry for the delay. The files were ready on my disk (and in my printer) but I didn’t manage to put them online (and to use them myself). My friends are getting married. They came to invite us and, well, I just couldn’t tell them – Yeah, it’s nice, you know, but I have to do my Chinese. Could you leave already? Huh, I wouldn’t even want to say such a thing. And I hope this won’t be taken for an excuse!

I started this morning (listening, listening, listening…) and I hope I’ll manage to do 2 parts toady.

This is the first one:

For some people Sunday is the first day of the week. For me it will be the first day of lesson 10.

I took the word test once again this morning, and I improved my result. This time it was 56 correct answers out of 59. I’m satisfied 🙂

Lesson 9 – review

Today I spent some time reviewing lesson 9.

I’ve completed the word review published in the previous post with a result of 58 correct answers out of 59. Not bad, huh?

But let’s not get all too optimistic! It’s always easier to read the Chinese sign and translate it into English than to put down the pinyin and Chinese next to an English word. I decided to try with this sheet (I called it the word test):
NPCR 1.9 word test
My result was 37 correct answers out of 59. A bit worse, isn’t it 🙂

Today I am going to do some listening and later, in the evening, I hope my result will be better!

Chinese to go – NPCR 1.9.6 结束!

Here is the last part of lesson 九 🙂 This time it’s only 九 words!

And now a bonus. It’s quite easy to learn 十 words a 天. But do you remember the words you mastered 三 天 ago? You can easily check it by this word list.  Do you know how to pronounce them? Do you remember their meanings? Give it a try:
NPCR 1.9 word review (changed)
I am going to try it myself (tomorrow, as I am only starting with part 6 of lesson 9). I will let you know during the weekend 🙂
